With constant trade winds, together with flat and shallow turquoise waters, Aruba has become a world renowned kite destination for beginners and pros alike. Are you ready to take on this exhilarating challenge?
The main kiting area in Aruba is on the north-western coast. Some areas are more sheltered, which allows for a variety of areas to suit all abilities. Close to the beach is perfect for beginners, as it is shallow and the most sheltered spot.
Further out is an intermediates area, where you will also find a sandbar. This tends to be where lessons take place as the wind is stronger and the water is waist deep. There is a shallow reef around here, however it is clearly marked out, and the staff at our partner kitesurf centre will point out any areas to avoid. The Blue Highway is the furthest kiting area from the beach and the wind is strong and steady here. The conditions are more bump 'n' jump as the water is exposed to the full force of the wind. This area is huge, and you are away from the crowds and learners. There are areas here where you can stand, though most of the Blue Highway is deep water, and only for more experienced kiters.
Description :
Semi-Private lessons are a maximum of 2 students per instructor, meaning fast progression. The lessons include all equipment and are designed to take you from total beginner to up and riding. We normally suggest at least 10 hours to get the up on the board doing short runs. Lessons are normally in 2 - 3-hour sessions, but dependent on local conditions.
Description :
Kitesurfing Lessons with a personal instructor gives you the opportunity to have a 1-on-1 interaction with your instructor to help you learn at a pace that is driven by you. The Learn To Kitesurf course aims to get you riding, while also teaching you how to read the conditions and utilise your equipment safely and correctly. You will then move on to the board lessons. What does that mean? Well it is time to get up on the board now. You will practice using the kite to generate pull and you will learn how to get the kite to pull you without the board first. The idea is to get used to how the kite behaves when asked to pull you. Once confident doing this you will learn how to put the board on your feet and after that, how to get up on the board. Most people will manage to do a few metres on the board by the end of the course.
Description :
Foilboarding, kite foiling, hydrofoil kiteboarding, foil kiteboarding - you can call it many names, but it all leads to the same discipline: riding a kite with a hydrofoil board under your feet and it allows you to kite along above the surface of the water. Kitefoil is considered the next era in kitesurfing. Learn advanced maneuvers like jumps, tacks, and gybes, take an epic foil trip along the coast, or simply learn how to foil in case you have never tried it.
